Frans Wesselman etching
"After Rembrandt: Hazel bathing"
" A few years ago the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers asked us to make a print inspired by an artist of the past. I had always admired Rembrandt's " Woman Bathing", a small oil in the National Gallery. It is supposed to depict his partner Hendrikje Stoffels. So I dressed and posed my partner hazel in a similar fashion and made this etching on a plate of similar dimensions as the oil"
