blue-ginger - the alternative wedding list
The alternative wedding list was inspired by Miles and Annie who got married in July 2005. They had a traditional John Lewis wedding list but asked if I could set up a list of items in the gallery for friends and relatives who wanted to give something different as a wedding present. Annie and Miles were delighted with the gifts they received, which included lamps, paintings, jugs, ceramics and table mats, and so the blue-ginger alternative wedding list service was born and is now available to all.

Any of the items in the blue-ginger gallery can be included in the alternative wedding list. The scheme is free to the bride and groom and is ideal for local couples who can visit the gallery for a chat. Their alternative wedding present list is created and decisions are made in the relaxed atmosphere of the blue-ginger gallery over coffee and cake.
Friends and relatives can call, email or visit the gallery to select their gift from the blue-ginger alternative wedding list. Gifts can be delivered direct to the bride and groom or collected from the gallery by the purchaser before the wedding - so they get a chance to see it before it's wrapped! |
There's so much to choose from at the blue-ginger gallery - you'll find some of the pieces on the gallery website pages . Many items are unique, handmade one-offs so there's always something different to see in the blue-ginger gallery and plenty of gift ideas. If you're planning your wedding why not visit the gallery or if you'd like more information or an appointment please complete our contact form.
This is how the blue-ginger alternative wedding list works:
Visit blue-ginger during normal opening times or contact me to make an appointment at a time to suit you.
Make your "wish list" of wedding gifts. Relax in the blue ginger coffee shop within the gallery while you choose.
Give me your completed wedding list and choose your delivery date. I'll give you alternative wedding list cards to send out with your invitations.
Then its up to your wedding guests to contact me by phone, email or letter if they're unable to visit the gallery in person.
...... leave the rest up to me
