Book Launch of Bertram Likes to Sew

Saturday May 24

5pm - 8pm

Come and help celebrate the next in the Celestine and the Hare series to be published.

The youngest of the family, Bertram doesn’t like swimming like other water voles, but he does love to sew and repair his family’s clothes. A gentle story about being true to yourself and following your passions. Includes ecological notes about water voles, clothing, and instructions for making your own teddy bear.

Come and do a bit of visible mending (bring those holey socks or jumpers along) we will have needles and wool for you to use or just come and have a cuppa and chat, look at the exhibition in the gallery.

Karin will be there to sign copies of the book and chat and read the new book and talk a bit about the themes in it. There will be a simple supper provided by Sue for a donation. Please RSVP with numbers for food.

Needlefelt a beetle workshop

Saturday June 23

10am - 4pm

Come and learn the art of needle felting by felting your own little beetle. Choose a ladybird, June bug or maybe a sparkly imaginary bug. We may even have time to make two! I'll have lots of pictures of bugs to choose from or bring your own. Picture, that is, not bug. They tend to drink your tea and scoff your cake when you aren't looking.

All equipment, materials and drinks are on me. Lunch can be bought at the gallery or bring a packed lunch.

Bookings through Celestine and the Hare website.
